propertySites collects a limited amount of information about our visitors, so that we can provide a service that is more interesting and useful.

If you use our "E-Mail This Page" feature to notify yourself or a friend about our service, propertySites will send a one-time e-mail to the individuals, with a link for the page of interest. Your e-mail address will appear on the "From" line of this e-mail, thereby disclosing this information to whomever opens and reads the message.

Your Security

We have selected them based on their high standards for data security. Subsequently, you'll need to re-enter some of your personal information such as name, e-mail, and address while processing payment. Because 2CheckOut is responsible for this information, you'll need to refer to the privacy policy on their site. We feel that using the 2CheckOut secure service is the best means for properly safeguarding your financial information.

Personalized areas of our site are password-protected. Only you have access to these password-protected areas. We recommend that you do not share your passwords with anyone. propertySites will never ask you for your password in an unsolicited phone call or in an unsolicited e-mail. Other Important Information

The information you post in our discussion forums is publicly visible - that's the basic idea behind the forums. Additionally, all basic member profile information, username, registration date, forums participation, last forum post, and property for sale are made public (unless noted else wise). We feel this information is part of the community spirit of our service, and the information made publicly available is not enough to identify anyone individual. Your privacy is very important to us.

We are very proud to be the only "For Sale By Owner" Web site offering the ability to manage your sale without ever posting personal information to the public. By default, your member profile privacy setting is set to be private, and you'll note that we never ask you to enter phone numbers. However, we also understand that many of you may prefer to make your personal contact information known to "would-be" buyers. You can select to make your personal information viewable to registered members only (protected) or publicly available. By changing your privacy setting to protected or public, your full name, e-mail address, and phone numbers (if entered) will be made visible.

Please note that whenever you disclose personal information publicly - for example, by changing your privacy setting, on a forums post, through e-mail, or in your "By Owner" advertisement - that information can be collected and used by others. Basically, if you post personal information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited e-mails or phone calls from other parties in return. If you don't want strangers to send you messages or call you, don't make your e-mail or phone numbers public.
